January 11: FRESH WORD!

Man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word

that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord.  (Deuteronomy 8:3 KJV)

1.       Today I will live in the now!  I will live in the now because I do not “refuse Him who SPEAKS” but, rather, I accept the rhema word of the Lord as my manna.  I appreciate and believe what He has said, but I live by what He is saying to me in the now!

2.       Today I will resist religious restraints that regulate and reduce God to a managed and monitored system.  Instead, I welcome the free-flowing, life-giving, ever-fresh word now proceeding from His mouth that cannot be controlled or supervised.  He can say what He will and I will receive it, even if it seems strange to my finite mind.

3.       Today my spiritual eyes and ears will be open to the word of the Lord in every place.  I will be sensitive to listen for the unusual and unprecedented.  I will extract truth as I violently pursue His Kingdom, and will draw out revelation from the heart of God, through the mouth of God, by my strong desire to live in the now.  I will recognize the pearl of great price when I find it.

4.       Today I will open myself up to a fresh word through the door of meditation.  I will wait on the Lord.  I will keep my mind stayed on Him.  My tongue will be the pen of a ready writer.  My delight will be in the law of the Lord, and on His law I will meditate day and night.  This book of the law shall not depart from my mouth, but I will meditate on it, that I might do it.

5.       Today I will esteem His word higher than my necessary food.  His word is forever settled in heaven as far as I am concerned, and the entrance of it gives me light.  It is sweeter to me than honey in the honeycomb.  It is to be desired more than much fine gold.  It is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.  My house is built on the rock of it, and I rejoice over it as one having found great spoil.

6.       Today I will embrace the anointed word—the word that destroys the yoke of bondage in my life.  I will not be surprised at the presence of the anointing in places where I would not normally think to look for it.  If the Spirit leads me to Arabia to find the word, then I will gladly go, even though conventional wisdom says that I should go to Jerusalem to find it (Galatians 1:16, 17).

7.       Today I will live life to the fullest, satisfied in the inner man.  I will have an edge, an advantage, because I hear and receive the fresh word that proceeds from His mouth.  It will not be lost on me.  I have revelation knowledge and do not deceive myself because I am a doer of the Word.  Today I will enjoy prosperity and success because of my life in His word, and today I will live in the now!

Father, help me to find a fresh word today.  In Jesus’ name, amen.
