January 21: RELATIONSHIPS NOW!

Consequently, from now on we estimate and regard no one

from a [purely] human point of view

[in terms of natural standards of value]….

(2 Corinthians 5:16 AMP)

1.       Today I will live in the now!  I will live in the now because of the covenant relationships in my life and the way that they reveal Jesus to me.  The people in my life—family, loved ones, acquaintances, business partners, neighbors, friends (both close and distant) and enemies alike—are all working out a higher purpose in me and, therefore, I will thank God for them all!

2.       Today I will succeed because I walk in love and love never fails (1 Corinthians 13:8).  The God-kind of love is shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Ghost, and that love will enable me to exist in a supernatural dimension of harmony, forgiveness and grace toward everyone with whom I come into contact.

3.       Today I will enjoy the comfort of friendship.  Knowing that “a friend loves at all times…” (Proverb 17:17), I will believe and accept that I am loved.  I deserve friends because I have shown myself friendly (18:24), and today my life will be improved because of them, as iron sharpens iron (27:17).

4.       Today I will embrace the benefits of commitment.  I will not be hesitant to make a required withdrawal from the lives of those into whom I have made an investment.  I will give of myself freely, fully understanding the demands imposed upon me by my relationships, ignoring the risks.  I will ask for help when I need it.

5.       Today I will speak the truth in love (“Faithful are the wounds of a friend, but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.” – Proverb 27:6).  Life is in the power of the tongue, so I will not avoid confrontation when necessary nor fear possible rejection, because there is no fear in love.

6.       Today I will be unselfish with my time and attention.  I will let those who play significant roles in my life know how important they are to me by my words and by my actions.  I will be touchable.

7.       Today I will work toward improving my relationship with God, with others, and with myself.  My life will be enriched by relating to people.  Today I will make a connection, and today       I will live in the now!

Father, help me to value my relationships today.  In Jesus’ name, amen.

January 20: NO CONDEMNATION!

There is therefore NOW no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus,

who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.  (Romans 8:1)

1.       Today I will live in the now!  I will live in the now because no condemnation exists for me in the NOW.  He who knew no sin became sin for me that I might become His righteousness—and I am the righteousness of God in Christ now.  I am forgiven now.  I am holy now.  I am justified now.  I am clean now.

2.       Today mercy is working on my behalf, to withhold from me what I really deserve.  I will make myself comfortable at the mercy seat, because Jesus has enabled me to do so.  I am accepted in the beloved, and today I will act and feel like I am accepted.

3.       Today grace is working on my behalf, to pour out on me what I really don’t deserve.  I will make myself at home at the throne of grace, because Jesus has invited me to do so.  My transgressions have been removed from me as far as the east is from the west, and today  I will think and speak like I am forgiven.

4.       Today the blood of Jesus is working on my behalf, to wash away all of my guilt and shame.  He was wounded for my transgressions and bruised for my iniquities.  His cleansing blood is alive now through the Eternal Spirit.

5.       Today the word of God is working on my behalf.  It is written in the logos word that my sins have been thrown into the sea and have been cast behind His back.  It is spoken in the rhema word that He is saving me to the uttermost, as He lives to make intercession for me.

6.       Today the Holy Spirit is working on my behalf as He leads me into all truth.  I will walk in the Spirit today and not in the flesh.  As He reveals Himself to me as the Spirit of Adoption, I will be secure in the family of God, boldly crying, “Abba, Father!”

7.       Today I will enter into rest, knowing that I do not have to be motivated by fear.  My heart does not condemn me and, therefore, I have confidence before God.  I will glory in the cross, believe the resurrection with my heart, and confess His Lordship with my mouth.        I am saved!  I have eternal life!  I am a new creature in Christ!  I have passed from death unto life!  Today I will know that God is good, and today I will live in the now!

Father, help me to walk in the Spirit today.  In Jesus’ name, amen.

January 19: GET UP!

For a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again….  (Proverb 24:16)

1.       Today I will live in the now!  I will live in the now because I have it in me to get back up again when I fall down.  I am not just a survivor; I am more than a conqueror through Him who loves me!  Because of the reality of the resurrection, I have the grace to get up, the power to prevail and the will to win, even if I fall frequently.

2.       Today I will get up out of my shackles of shame.  An embarrassment is not the end.  He has made me the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath.  I am the righteousness of God in Christ.  I will arise and shine for my light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon me!

3.       Today I will get up out of my sewer of self-pity.  A mistake is not mortal.  If God is for me, who can be against me?  He prepares a table for me in the presence of my enemies.  No weapon formed against me can prosper, and every tongue that rises against me will be shown to be in the wrong!

4.       Today I will get up out of my dungeon of discouragement.  A defeat is not devastating.  Forgetting those things which are behind, I press on to the prize. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in me.  The joy of the Lord is my strength!

5.       Today I will get up out of my morass of mediocrity.  A failure is not forever.  I can run and not be weary; I can walk and not faint.  Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world.  I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!

6.       Today I will get up out of my gulf of guilt.  A fall is not fatal.  Where sin abounds, grace does much more abound.  He has not dealt with me after my sins, nor rewarded me according to my iniquity.  He is faithful and just to forgive me of my sins and to cleanse me from all unrighteousness!

7.       Today I will get up, even if I fall seven times (the number representing infinity), because Jesus is praying for me.  I will never give up, because He never gives up on me.  And every time I get back up, I become stronger than I was before I fell.  Today I am restored, renewed, revived, refreshed and resurrected by His power, and today I will live in the now!

Father, help me to get back up today.  In Jesus’ name, amen.
