April 15: FIND FAVOR!

 confident-man

Let not mercy and truth forsake you; bind them around your neck,

write them on the tablet of your heart, and so find favor and high esteem

in the sight of God and man.

(Proverb 3:3, 4)

1.       Today I will live in the now!  I will live in the now because I expect to receive supernatural favor from God and man today.  My promotion in the now will come from the Lord (“For exaltation comes neither from the east nor from the west nor from the south.  But God is the Judge: He puts down one, and exalts another” – Psalm 75:6, 7), and I will conduct myself with the confidence that comes from the consciousness that He is in my corner!

2.       Today I will be competitive only with myself, striving for my own, personal best, without comparing myself to others.  I will be inspired by those who are successful—not intimidated by them—knowing that my success is unique to me and that I can do what no one else can do by being true to my own individuality.

3.       Today I will humble myself in the sight of the Lord, that He may lift me up (James 4:10), giving God the glory and my gratitude for His guidance and grace!  I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, and I am gaining more strength as I honor Him and give Him the credit due Him.

4.       Today I will let the Lord prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies, knowing that He will anoint me with the oil of joy above my contemporaries.  He will vindicate me and set me in a large place as I trust Him.  My latter will be greater than my former!

5.       Today I will recognize the flow that comes from godly favor.  I will only go where I am celebrated—not where I am tolerated.  My gift will make room for me today and will bring me before great men (Proverb 18:16).

6.       Today I will accept affirmation (valid compliments) from authentic admirers without argument.  I will receive gifts, knowing that I have given to others.  I will embrace promotion, and the added responsibility that it brings me, without any fear.  I will renounce any bogus feelings of unworthiness, knowing that He has made me worthy and righteous and acceptable in His sight!

7.       Today I will walk in the boldness that comes from having God’s favor on my life.  I will expect good things to happen to me today, because the Lord is good and His mercy endures forever.  Today I know that I have an edge, and today I will live in then now!

Father, I thank You that I find favor for my life today.  In Jesus’ name, amen.

April 14: BURNING BUSH!

the-burning-bush

…looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed. Then Moses said, “I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.” So when the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.”

(Exodus 3:2-4)

1. Today I will live in the now! I will live in the now because I have the spiritual sensitivity to realize when God is trying to get my attention through unusual means…when wisdom is crying in the streets. I will not be too busy today to “turn aside and see this great sight” as Moses did, but will be prepared to obey His instructions for me, no matter how impossible the requirement may seem in the natural.

2. Today I will recognize divine confirmation when I see it—those signposts from heaven that let me know that I am on the right track. I will move through this day on the assumption that there are no accidents, coincidences or flukes, and will take to heart the words of the mouth of two or three witnesses. If God is speaking, I will pick up on the message!

3. Today I will not be dull of hearing or as a brute beast before the Lord. My freedom from religious prejudice, willingness to think outside the box and openness to revelation knowledge will enable me to know how to appropriately respond when faith comes by hearing the rhema Word. My obedience today will be better than sacrifice.

 4. Today I will be willing to do the ridiculous so that God can do the miraculous. I will remember that the “burning bushes” that I observe in my life are God’s way of using the foolish things of the world to confound the wise, and that what seems absurd to the logical world makes perfect sense to the Mind of Christ!

5. Today I will be aware of the presence of God in my life and will know when I am on holy ground. I will reverence His name and come before His presence with singing. I will enter His gates with thanksgiving in my heart and go into His courts with praise. Most importantly, when He makes Himself known, I will respond by saying, “Here I am.”

6. Today I will be aware that the bush does not burn up, proving God’s persistence and purposeful intention. He will not advance me instructions beyond my last act of obedience, so I will not insult Him by my procrastination!

7. Today I will open my eyes and ears to God, and today I will live in the now!

Father, help me to notice the burning bushes in my life today. In Jesus’ name, amen.

April 13: PROSPEROUS SOUL!

tree

Beloved, I pray that you may PROSPER in all things and be in health,

just as your soul prospers.

(3 John 2)

1.       Today I will live in the now!  I will live in the now because I have a mindset and attitude that is conducive to prosperity, one that attracts good things to my life.  My soul (my mind, will and emotions) is prospering, and taking me to a higher level of success and productivity as it unlocks the treasures hidden in the field of my life’s potential.

2.       Today I will comprehend the definition of true prosperity, which involves more than just my financial status.  Peace of mind, excellence of character, sphere of influence, manifestation of leadership ability, and a virtuous life of unselfishness are all viable parts of real prosperity…the kind of prosperity that is a blessing to humanity.

3.       Today I will not contaminate my prosperous mentality with thoughts of guilt—the useless emotion that kills effectiveness—or worry, which is the mirror refection of guilt.  Guilt is past-oriented and worry is future-oriented, and both ensure that absolutely nothing worthwhile will be achieved in the present!  A prosperous soul is one that only functions in the now!

4.       Today I will remember that my state of mind is affecting my health and that good health is more than just the absence of sickness and disease in my body.  Today I will speak words that encourage my body’s natural immune system and re-creative ability to medicate itself from the inside out, but I will also see the big picture of mental and social health, longevity of life and contribution to the health and improvement of the world, and make that my ultimate goal.

5.       Today I will let my prosperous meditation unblock my energy and creativity.  “But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he MEDITATES day and night.  He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall PROSPER” (Psalm 1:2, 3).

6.       Today I will expose myself to information that bends my attention toward prospering, unlocking hidden rooms of potential within my spirit.  I will not lose precious time by letting my problems become obsessions (replaying painful thoughts and memories), but will be empowered by the will to be proactive.  Jesus has already completed His work for me, and nobody else can make me prosper, so I will make the Word work for myself!

7.       Today I will get it together in my soul-life.  I will do whatever is necessary to change my negative thought patterns and self-destructive inner voices, and today I will live in the now!

Father, help me to live my life today with a prosperous mentality.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

April 10: STRESS FREE!

42-15546654

He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. (Psalm 23:2)

1. Today I will live in the now! I will live in the now because I have Jesus’ peace reigning in my heart…so I am stress-free, laid-back, chilled-out, settled-down, alright, going-with-the-flow, and calm, cool and collected in Christ! Today is my day to just let all the pressure go and say, “It’s all good!”

2. Today I will claim this verse: “Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God” (Philippians 4:6 AMP).

3. Today I will also claim the next verse: “And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7 AMP).

4. Today I will go ahead and claim the verse following the other two: “For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them]” (Philippians 4:8 AMP).

5. Today I will not take everything so seriously. I will find something funny and really laugh at it. I will avoid negative people who drain me and always stress me out. I will have some well-deserved fun today.

6. Today I will take some time for myself and relax and get some quality rest for my spirit, mind and body. I will go with the flow, let the stress go and learn to say “no” when it is appropriate to do so!

7. Today I will let the Lord be my Shepherd and quietly follow Him wherever He leads me. I will bow before Him—not before deadlines and pressure and expectations and demands. This is the day the Lord has made for me, and I will rejoice in it today. I will get my stuff done without making mountains out of molehills. Today I claim calm nerves, regular blood pressure, steady heartbeat, peace of mind, a positive attitude and an ulcer-free stomach. Today I am seated with Him in heavenly places, and today I will live in the now!

Father, help me to live a stress-free life today. In Jesus’ name, amen.

April 9: BORN AGAIN!

born-again

Jesus said, “You’re absolutely right.  Take it from me: Unless a person is born from above,

it’s not possible to see what I’m pointing to—to God’s Kingdom.”  “How can anyone,” said Nicodemus, “be born who has already been born and grown up?  You can’t re-enter your mother’s womb and be born again.  What are you saying with this ‘born-from-above talk’?”  Jesus said, “You’re not listening.  Let me say it again.  Unless a person submits to this original creation—the ‘wind hovering over the water’ creation, the invisible moving the visible,

a baptism into a new life—it’s not possible to enter God’s Kingdom.”

 (John 3:3-5 The Message)

1.       Today I will live in the now!  I will live in the now because I am born from above—supernatural in origin, “other-worldly,” a partaker of the divine nature!

2.       Today I will “see” the Kingdom operating in my world.  I will be able to perceive and understand the rule and reign of Christ as it is exercised through my God-given authority on this planet.

3.       Today I will be renewed in my soul because of the continual process of being reborn—going from glory to glory—so that my life today will not be stale or boring or predictable.  I am refreshed by the washing of the water of the Word, born again of the incorruptible sperm of God (1 Peter 1:23).  I have His nature!  I have His life!

4.       Today I will not have to wear a “WWJD?” bracelet to remind myself to ask “What would Jesus do?” because He is doing what He is doing RIGHT NOW through me!  In Him I live and move and have my being in the now, because the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in me!

5.       Today I will be a witness through my words and actions—God’s instrument of reconciliation.  I will not take eternal life for granted and will allow the flow of the good news to replenish the dry and thirsty ground within the lives of those around me.  I will be a river in the desert today.

6.       Today I will anticipate change, because I am being conformed to His image.  I will reproduce after my own kind, helping to bring many sons to glory, as I awaken their spirits to the truth of Jesus, the King.

7.       Today I will repent and enter the Kingdom, seeing the world from God’s vantage point and marching to a different drummer.  Today I will rejoice that He lives big in me today, and today I will live in the now!

Father, give me a fresh understanding of what it means to be ‘born again’ today.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

April 7: FEAR NOT!

harold-lloyd

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1)

1. Today I will live in the now! I will live in the now because I have the nature of God in me which produces the courage to face all of my fears and to overcome them. He has not given me a spirit of fear and there is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear! Greater is He that is in me than he who is in the world!

2. Today I will not be afraid to embrace change. I will not be afraid to tell the truth. I will not be afraid to be myself. I will not be afraid to accept a challenge. I will not be afraid to try something new. I will not be afraid to listen to a different point of view. I will not be afraid to give my opinion. I will not be afraid to fly.

3. Today I will not be afraid to try again after I have failed at trying something. I will not be afraid to admit when I am wrong. I will not be afraid to believe again, even when I have been greatly disappointed. I will not be afraid to be vulnerable. I will not be afraid of rejection. I will not be afraid of bad news.

4. Today I will not be afraid to be great at something. I will not be afraid to believe in myself. I will not be afraid to learn from a mistake. I will not be afraid of the devil or of demons. I will not be afraid of death or of hell. I will not be afraid of the end of the world or “signs of the times.” I will not be afraid that I won’t make it. I will not be afraid of what I don’t understand.

5. Today I will not be afraid to go to the doctor. I will not be afraid of disease. I will not be afraid of the symptoms in my body. I will not be afraid to grow old. I will not be afraid that I am unloved. I will not be afraid of pain. I will not be afraid of being talked about or falsely accused. I will not be afraid of poverty or lack. I will not be afraid that I can’t pay my bills. I will not be afraid of tragedy.

6. Today I will not be afraid of added responsibility. I will not be afraid of success. I will not be afraid of promotion. I will not be afraid of having a nervous breakdown or of losing my mind. I will not be afraid of losing a loved one. I will not be afraid to be alone. I will not be afraid of the dark or of nightmares.

7. Today I decide to live fear-free and what fears I do have remaining I will use as a catalyst to unleash my superpowers (when I am weak, then I am strong)! Today I will keep my mind stayed on Him so that He may keep me in perfect peace, and today I will live in the now!

Father, I thank You that I do not have to be afraid of anything today! In Jesus’ name, amen.

April 4: TAKE INVENTORY!

Be diligent to know the state of your flocks, and attend to your herds;

for riches are not forever, nor does a crown endure to all generations.  (Proverb 27:23)

But let a man examine himself…  (1 Corinthians 11:28)

1.       Today I will live in the now!  I will live in the now because I am going to pour all of my energy into making this day count!  The secret to my success is hidden in my daily routine, so I will honestly look into how my typical day is spent and, starting today, make whatever changes may be necessary in order to maximize the potential of each day’s opportunities.

2.       Today I will examine my motives in all things, being willing to forsake any improper, hidden agenda that I may find in my subconscious mind.  I will let my “yes” be “yes” and my “no” be “no,” speaking the truth in love, abandoning the falsehoods and denials that are counterproductive to my living a full life.

3.       Today I will take inventory of the relationships in my life and will hold myself accountable to the highest standard of being a loving and lovable person.  I will take more chances, share more of my feelings with those who care about me and be open to allow people to safely share their vulnerable selves with me.

4.       Today I will make sure that my debts are paid, or are being paid (“Owe no one anything except to love one another…” – Romans 13:8) and will pull my own weight and assume my own responsibility.  I will be a contributor to the world around me today…ethical, generous, liberal, gracious and full of integrity.

5.       Today I will be the first to admit my own mistakes…I will let somebody else be right for a change…I will divorce myself from the desire to always prove my point…I will learn from someone else…I will say, “I’m sorry” and “I was wrong” and “Please forgive me.”  And if        I am unable to do and say these things, I will ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to me why and to help me to repent.

6.       Today I will have the heart of David who said, “Who can understand his errors?  Cleanse me from secret faults.  Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me.  Then I shall be blameless, and I shall be innocent of great transgression.  Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer” (Psalm 19:12-14).

7.       Today I will take a really good look at me, and today I will live in the now!

Father, give me the courage to take honest inventory of my life today.

In Jesus’ name, amen.
