March 11: OPEN UP!

man-holding-key

“. . . These things says He who is holy, He who is true, ‘He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts,
and shuts and no one opens.'” (Revelation 3:7
)

1. Today I will live in the now! I will live in the now because I have Kingdom keys in my possession, and I am using them to unlock my true self – my heart – where the Kingdom of God dwells – releasing the life of God from my inner man into the world around me. My life is an open book to be read by all people to the glory of God!

2. Today I will move beyond my emotional walls – my self-imposed prison of defense mechanisms that I have developed for my natural survival. My realization that I am accepted in Christ, the Beloved, sets me free from the fear of rejection, and produces peace, poise and perfect self-confidence in my personal life.

3. Today I will communicate on a real level, speaking the truth in love. I will really listen to others when they speak, and I will hear the voice of their hearts. I will be touched with the feeling of someone else’s weaknesses, and will minister to them without being judgmental. My openness and truthfulness will set the captives free!

4. Today I will have a spirit of understanding – a heightened sense of awareness of my environment. Jesus is made wisdom unto me, and He gives me the sensibility of a sage, the language of the learned, and the temperament of a teacher. I am a helper and a mentor – an asset to those in my life.

5. Today my senses are sharp and keen, and the Word in my heart and mouth acts as a two-edged sword, cutting through the nonsense of pretentious religion. His word is like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces, and He will use me today to make a difference!

6. Today I will stop trying to defend myself, giving myself the permission to not have to always be right. I am a human being, capable of making mistakes, who has been made a partaker of the Divine Nature through Christ. I am righteous, but not perfect, so I can relax and be myself, accepting myself for who I am, and for Whose I am.

7. Today I will have an open mind and heart, prepared for whatever comes because God is on my side. Today I will be openly blessed, and today I will live in the now!

Father, help me to open up today. In Jesus’ name, amen.

February 6: BE FREE!

Look at the birds, free and unfettered, not tied down to a job description,

careless in the care of God.  And you count far more to him than birds.

(Matthew 6:26 The Message)

1.       Today I will live in the now!  I will live in the now because I am free!  He/she whom the Son makes free is free indeed.  I know the truth, and the truth that I know sets me free.  Where the Spirit of the Lord is (where the Spirit is Lord), there is liberty!

2.       Today I will live free from small-mindedness and limited vision.  I will not feel obligated to think on a lower level just because the people around me are inclined to do so.  I can love them unconditionally and still move toward my higher purpose and larger destiny.  Today I can see the big picture of my life!

3.       Today I will live free from religious tradition.  I will gladly discard whatever still exists in my belief system that is archaic, passé, or irrelevant, in an effort to repent my way into the NOW Kingdom where God lives.  My liberated mind will prevent tradition from making the Word in my life ineffective.

4.       Today I will free myself from the captivity of living in the past, and from the weight of my own emotional baggage, by practicing the power to forgive.  I will allow myself to breathe today’s fresh air, no longer having to struggle with memories that suffocate my soul and attempt to create a claustrophobic atmosphere for my spirit to contend with.

5.       Today I will live free from fear and worry.  I will consider the lilies of the field and will observe the freedom with which the birds of the air demonstrate a faith, a trust, and a confidence that reveal the Kingdom.  I am free to let faith come to me by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

6.       Today I will live free from doubt and unbelief.  I am emancipated to receive the evidence of things not seen and to allow my God-like faith to give substance to those things for which I hope.

7.       Today I am free to let God be God, and to allow myself to be His unique workmanship.  He is the only true God, and He has set me free to be the only true me!  I will celebrate my freedom today, and today I will live in the now!

Father, help me to walk in real freedom today.  In Jesus’ name, amen.
