February 17: LIVIN’ LARGE!

“I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a LARGE PLACE. The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me? . . . It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.”

(Psalm 118:5, 6, 8 – KJV)

1. Today I will live in the now! I will live in the now because I am free to be myself in God, with no need to try to be something or someone that I am not. No man can DEFINE MY PERSONALITY. “Don’t set people up as experts over your life, letting them tell you what to do. Save that authority for God; let Him tell you what to do. No one else should carry the title of ‘Father’; you have only one Father, and He’s in heaven” (Matthew 23:9, The Message).

2. Today I will live in a large place because no man can DETERMINE MY POTENTIAL! “It is God Himself who has made us what we are .” (Ephesians 2:10, Living Bible).

3. Today I will live in a large place because no man can DETER MY PROGRESS! “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid” (Psalm 27:1)? “. . . If God is for me, who can be against me” (Romans 8:31)?

4. Today I will live in a large place because no man can DELAY MY PROMOTION! For promotion comes neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge; He puts down one, and sets up another (Psalm 75:6, 7).

5. Today I will live in a large place because no man can DECREASE MY PROSPERITY! “The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it” (Proverbs 10:22).

6. Today I will live in a large place because no man can DESTROY MY POSSIBILITIES! “. . . With men it is impossible, but with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26).

7. Today I will live in a large place because no man can DEFEAT MY PURPOSE! “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, who are the called according to His PURPOSE” (Romans 8:28). The only person who could stop me today is me – but, since I believe in myself, I will help myself have a true Kingdom day of progress and productivity in Christ. Today is a big day for me, and today I will live in the now!

Father, help me to live the Kingdom life, as You live big in me today. In Jesus’ name, amen.

April 3: JESUS RULES!

jesus-rules

Which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.  And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

(Ephesians 1:20-23)

1.       Today I will live in the now!  I will live in the now because I have confessed with my mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father, and my knees have bowed in worship before Him, acknowledging that He is the Ruler of all things in the earth, above the earth and beneath the earth!

2.       Today I will proclaim the gospel of the Kingdom in my own, personal way, doing my part to make the kingdoms of this world become the Kingdoms of God and of His Christ in the now.  I will do what I can to demonstrate His authority in the earth through my life experiences; I live them out before the world today.

3.       Today I will not pray that the cup of difficulty pass from me, but I will invite and welcome God’s will to be done instead of mine, confidently assured that He will enable and equip me to do what I cannot do in my own strength.  I will emerge triumphant from my personal Garden of Gethsemane, enduring my cross for the joy that is set before me, and I will reign with Him today on His throne!

4.       Today I will recognize that Jesus has been made both Lord and Christ, with all authority, rule, rights and privileges of the Kingdom and its blessings, and I will celebrate the fact that I am His joint heir.  My self-confidence today will find its source in Christ’s sufficiency, and   I will overcome all obstacles and conquer in every circumstance through the Greater One who dwells within me!

5.       Today I will remember that His Kingdom does not come by observation, so I will look beyond the natural, finite realm of sight into the glorious reality of things that are happening in and for me that are unrevealed to the senses.  Jesus rules even when I can’t see the reach of His domain, so I will have a victorious day, regardless of what I see, hear or feel.

6.       Today I will crown the King with a steady stream of praise and worship, making melody in my thankful heart with the songs of Zion in the courts of the Most High God.  My report will be the report of the Lord, no matter what happens today.

7.       Today I will live and act and think like a ruler, and today I will live in the now!

I CONFESS THAT JESUS CHRIST IS LORD, TO THE GLORY OF THE FATHER!

March 28: EXPRESS YOURSELF!

express-yourself

…out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.

  (Matthew 12:34, 35)

…but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—  (Ephesians 4:15)

1.       Today I will live in the now!  I will live in the now because there is a miracle in my mouth that is ready to be manifested as I move through this day, motivated by the momentum that comes from magnifying the Lord!  Out of the heart are the issues of life and, through my words today, I will release God-life into the earth.

2.       Today I will tell the truth about myself, meticulously dispelling the myths of mediocrity that  I have manufactured in my mind and finding a victorious voice for the verification of my true value as a viable visionary!

3.       Today I will make my words work for me.  “But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.  For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me.  And I say to this one, ‘Go’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this’ and he does it” (Matthew 8:8, 9).

4.       Today I will not deny my feelings, but I will communicate them to others.  Because I am secure with my sense of adequacy, I can recognize, acknowledge and share my true experiences and emotions.

5.       Today I will speak up when something happens that annoys or frustrates me.  As Jesus commanded, I will go directly to the person involved.  I won’t allow negative reactions to collect, fester and grow.  I will speak up and release my anger, when necessary.  By speaking the truth in love, I will be able to maintain fellowship and friendships and still be able to discuss and dispel grievances.

6.       Today I will release my faith by the words of my mouth, believing that what I say with my mouth—and believe with my heart—will come to pass.  This mountain before me will be cast into the sea!

7.       Today I will let no corrupt word proceed out of my mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers (Ephesians 4:29).  Life is in the power of the tongue, so today I will communicate like the true conqueror that I am, expressing myself to God and to the people around me.  My words will put me over in all the affairs of life today: living truly, speaking truly, finding victory through vocabulary.  Today I will win this round of the game of life, and today I will live in the now!

Father, grant me the courage to effectively express myself today.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

March 25: HIS MAJESTY!

abundance

…He set it all out before us in Christ, a long-range plan in which everything would be brought together and summed up in Him, everything in deepest heaven, everything on planet earth…

All this energy issues from Christ:  God raised Him from death and set Him on a throne

in deep heaven, in charge of running the universe, everything from galaxies to governments,

NO NAME AND NO POWER EXEMPT FROM HIS RULE.

And not just for the time being, but forever.  He is in charge of it all, has the final word on everything.  At the center of all this, Christ rules the church.  The church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the church.  The church is Christ’s body,

in which He speaks and acts, by which He fills everything with His presence.

(Ephesians 1:10, 19-23 The Message)

1.       Today I will live in the now!  I will live in the now because I worship the Creator—the “I AM”—revealed in the person of Jesus Christ.  My knees bow and my tongue confesses to the glory of God that Jesus Christ is Lord!

2.       Today I recognize Christ’s rule of the universe, and I derive confidence from knowing that I am His sibling and His joint heir, as well as His servant and loyal subject of His Kingdom that reigns over every living thing!

3.       Today I decree the rule of King Jesus over every name that names itself in my life today. I demonstrate His/my authority in three worlds: the earth, things above the earth and things beneath the earth!

4.       Today I declare the majesty and dominion of Christ the King over every second of every minute of this day.  This day must come into divine order and submit to His/my authority, as His will is done on earth as it is in heaven!

5.       Today I will prevail and conquer as someone who is a champion of the chosen generation, a revealer of the royal priesthood and a harbinger of the holy nation (1 Peter 2:9)!  Jesus rules and reigns through my life today!

6.       Today I will speak the word only and will expect to have what I say.  “Where the word of a king is, there is power” (Ecclesiastes 8:4).  I will not waste my royal vocabulary on the petty and the trivial.

7.       Today, as a king in the earth, I willingly worship the King of kings and, as a lord of the earth, I am eager to exalt the Lord of lords.  His praise shall continually be in my mouth today, and today I will live in the now!

Almighty God, my Father, I worship You in Spirit and in truth.

Help me to recognize Your majesty in my own life today.  In Jesus’ name, amen.

March 16: NO LIMITS!

manflying

Yes, again and again they tempted God,

and limited the Holy One of Israel.  (Psalm 78: 41)

Now to Him Who…is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly,

far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think

[infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams].

(Ephesians 3:20 AMP)

1.       Today I will live in the now!  I will live in the now because, in Christ, there are no limits to the possibilities presented to my personal life.  Today I will EXPLORE NEW AREAS OF REVELATION KNOWLEDGE!  God desires to unfold His mysteries to me, so He will reveal the depths of His Word to me as I study and meditate the Scriptures under the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

2.       Today I will EXPOSE MYSELF TO THE SUPERNATURAL!  All nine Gifts of the Spirit are available to any believer who has been baptized in the Holy Spirit, so I will operate in the gift (or gifts) necessary for today’s tasks.

3.       Today I will EXPRESS MY FAITH BY A GOOD CONFESSION!  My heartfelt and sincere words of faith will create an atmosphere that is conducive to the miraculous today.  I believe, and therefore I speak (2 Corinthians 4:13).

4.       Today I will EXPEL THE WORD “IMPOSSIBLE” FROM MY VOCABULARY!  Since Christ dwells in my heart by faith (Ephesians 3:17), I cannot afford to speak antichrist words such as “I can’t;” “It will never work out;” “we can’t afford it;” “things just keep getting worse;”  “I’m scared to death;” “there is no way”…!

5.       Today I will EXPAND MY CAPACITY TO BELIEVE FOR THE MIRACULOUS!  I will wean myself off my dependence on natural things, because such dependence (as Abraham and Sarah depended on the natural womb of Hagar to produce a supernatural seed) only creates an incapacity to believe.

6.       Today I will EXPERIENCE THE DEEP THINGS OF GOD!  I will maintain a high level of praise and worship until my being is flooded with His actual presence.

7.       Today I will EXPECT SIGNS AND WONDERS TO BECOME A WAY OF LIFE!  Today I am prepared for anything and everything, and today I will live in the now!

Father, help me to remember today that there are no limits to Your power

and ability in my life.  In Jesus’ name, amen.

March 4: LOVE YOURSELF!

love-yourself1

“Jesus said, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your passion and prayer and intelligence.’ This is the most important, the first on any list. But there is a second to set alongside it: ‘Love others AS WELL AS YOU LOVE YOURSELF.’ These two commands are pegs; everything in God’s Law and the Prophets hangs from them.” (Matthew 22:37-40 – The Message)”. . . he who loves his wife LOVES HIMSELF. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church.” (Ephesians 5:28, 29)

1. Today I will live in the now! I will live in the now, because the power of God’s unconditional love allows and enables me to live my life in the present. Because I am accepted in the Beloved, I can give myself permission to love myself as I am now, knowing that I am improving by continually being conformed to His image.

2. Today I will love myself without being conceited, arrogant, puffed up with pride, or condescending. I will not feel inferior to anyone else, nor will I feel superior to anyone else, but will be balanced and mature in the way that I relate to everyone around me.

3. Today I will love myself, and still maintain a mindset of servitude and humility. I will selflessly consider the needs of others by taking up my cross to follow Jesus.

4. Today I will forgive myself for the ways in which I have disappointed myself. I will stop being angry with myself, and punishing myself for my mistakes, having the same patience with myself that God has with me.

5. Today I will speak well of myself, building a healthy self-esteem with verbal building blocks. I will not sin against my own potential by speaking self-destructive words, but will say about my life what God says about it, because I am in agreement with His word.

6. Today I will be good and kind to myself. I will not feel guilty for doing something nice just for me, with no obligation to any bogus, religious ideas of my own unworthiness.

7. Today I will walk in the God kind of love with the people in my life, and will be a blessing to them. They will see Jesus in me today, and today I will live in the now!

Father, give me the courage to love myself today. In Jesus’ name, amen.

February 17: LIVIN’ LARGE!

“I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a LARGE PLACE. The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me? . . . It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.”

(Psalms 118:5, 6, 8 – KJV)

January 23: START NOW!

Making the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity],

because the days are evil.  (Ephesians 5:16 AMP)

1.       Today I will live in the now!  I will live in the now because I have realized how important my time is and how necessary it is for me to stop wasting it.  I can do something to advance the Kingdom of God now!  I can do something to make the world a better place in which to live now!  I can do something to help somebody I love now!  I can do something to improve my life now!

2.       Today is a day full of opportunity and promise.  I don’t have to be victimized by the swift passage of time, because I have the ability to redeem it.  The eternal “I AM” lives in me and, therefore, time is on my side.  It is never too late for a miracle!

3.       Today I will stop delaying my destiny.  I will be a proactive producer rather than a prosaic procrastinator.  I will not be lazy.  I will stop making excuses for myself.  I will not put off until tomorrow what I should go ahead and do today.

4.       Today I will move toward the fulfillment of the prophecies over my life.  I will find ways to start making my dreams come true, and I will enjoy the journey every bit as much as I do the destination.  To accomplish this, I will start making the necessary changes in my thinking immediately.

5.       Today I will not allow an unfounded fear of failure prevent me from getting started.  So what if I fall?  Stepping out of the boat is more important to me now than trying to stay out of the water.  In fact, I would rather be a wet “water-walker” than a dry “boat-dweller”!

6.       Today I will trust that God will stop me before I take a wrong step, because I have prayed over my path.  My faith will distance me from the pack—those who are too careful or too afraid—and I will ride with God on the high places of the earth.

7.       Today I will be brave enough to take the initiative in pursuing my best destiny.  I have experienced enough to know that I don’t have to be afraid anymore.  I am ready to get started today, and today I will live in the now!

Jesus said, “No procrastination.  No backward looks

You can’t put God’s Kingdom off till tomorrow.

Seize the day.”  (Luke 9:62 The Message)

Father, give me the courage to get started on my journey today.  In Jesus’ name, amen.

January 7: WAKE UP!

And do this, knowing the time,

that NOW it is high time to awake out of sleep….  (Romans 13:11)

Therefore He says: “Awake, you who sleep, arise from the dead

and Christ will give you light.”  (Ephesians 5:14)

1.       Today I will live in the now!  I will live in the now because my spiritual eyes are wide open, and I am aware of all that God is doing for me…in me…through me…today.  I will not sleepwalk through this day.  I am alive!  I am awake!  I am aware!  My spiritual senses are heightened!  I am sensitive to God’s presence in me and all around me!  And, because I have been awakened, I have also been enlightened—Christ has given me light!  I will walk in the light today.

2.       Today I will recognize the positive.  I will appreciate the beauty in the world.  I will locate the noble in others.  I will be thankful.  I will be grateful.  I will be aware of the benefits with which I am daily loaded.  I will believe that all things are at work together today for my good.

3.       Today I will notice the needs of people around me.  I will be moved with compassion for others.  I will make the effort to be less self-centered than usual.  I will prefer my brother/sister.  I will be aware that it’s not all about me today and will find joy in caring about someone else.  The selflessness will be a relief to me.  I will find pleasure in listening—really listening.  I will look at people.  I will make eye contact.  I will make spirit-contact.  I will make a difference.

4.       Today I will not complain about my surroundings or my routine, but will see, instead, how blessed I really am.  I will notice the details of my life today and will enjoy them.  I will embrace and celebrate my normal life.  I will even find excitement in the usual as I stay “awake.”

5.       Today I will look at things from God’s perspective.  I will empathize with God and try to discern His perspective on things.  I will sit with Him in heavenly places.

6.       Today I will rightly divide the Word and my state of awareness will produce new revelation in me.  I will awake to the necessity of spiritual warfare when needed and will fight the good fight of faith.  I will not wrestle with flesh and blood.  I am spiritual first and, therefore, will live spiritually today.  I will awaken to spiritual reality and will not be bound to the limits of the natural realm.

7.       Today my spirit is awake.  My soul is awake.  My mind is awake.  My creativity is awake.  My perception and discernment are awake.  My wisdom and understanding are awake.  My body is awake.  My senses are awake.  Because I am awake, I will see things that I never saw before, and today I will live in the now!

Father, help me to wake up today.  In Jesus’ name, amen.
