June 4: EXCELLENCE NOW!

excellence

“Instead of bronze I will bring gold, instead of iron I will bring silver,

instead of wood, bronze, and instead of stones, iron.” (Isaiah 60:17)

1. Today I will live in the now! I will live in the now because I understand that excellence is an attitude – a state of mind that gradually becomes a lifestyle, and I am developing that lifestyle daily. I know that excellence exists, and that successful people live it, so I will not be destroyed by a lack of knowledge in this area. I have seen it in others, and now I will see it work for me!

2. Today I will not be lazy, and just assume that excellence will be a natural development in my life, but I will work hard to maintain a high standard for myself, and will walk in the required diligence to achieve my goals.

3. Today I will not give in to feelings of unworthiness that would prevent me from expecting the best of myself. I will believe that I deserve to live an excellent life, and will retrain my mind away from lies that I have believed that have damaged my self-esteem.

4. Today I will not be satisfied with “good” or “good enough.” God has called me to greatness in my area, so I will be faithful to hone my skills for the development of excellence, and I will do it to be a blessing to the Kingdom.

5. Today I will rid myself of any fear of success that I may still have, realizing that the continued pursuit of excellence ultimately brings undeniable success – and with that success comes added responsibility. But I am preparing myself to take on more, enlarging my capacity for faith and productivity, and, when opportunity knocks, I’ll be standing at the door, ready to open it!

6. Today I will not feel like I am an imposter, not living my real, deserved life. I am blessed because God is good, and I am successful because He has allowed me to work His system in the earth for my own benefit, as well as for His. I am not afraid that success will tell on me, revealing that I can’t make the grade. On the contrary, with every level of promotion, I will easily rise to the occasion.

7. Today I will see the big picture of my success, increasing in excellence incrementally, patiently progressing and possessing the higher standard of living that I deserve. Today I will give it all I’ve got, and today I will live in the now!

March 6: TOP CONDITION!

  running-men

“You’ve all been to the stadium and seen the athletes race. Everyone runs; one wins. Run to win. All good athletes train hard. They do it for a gold medal that tarnishes and fades. You’re after one that’s gold eternally. I don’t know about you, but I’m running hard for the finish line. I’m giving it everything I’ve got. No sloppy living for me! I’m staying alert and in TOP CONDITION. I’m not going to get caught napping, telling everyone else all about it and then missing out myself.

(1 Corinthians 9:24-27 – The Message)

1. Today I will live in the now! I will live in the now because I have made the decision to exercise myself toward godliness (1 Timothy 4:7) in everything that I do during this 24-hour period. Through my faith, obedience to God, and meditation of His Word, I will run and not be weary – I will walk and not faint. I will overcome because I am fit and in good spiritual condition.

2. Today I will keep my mind active and productive, not wasting my creative mental energies on nonessential things. I will give my mind over to important pursuits and large ideas that challenge and stretch me . . . that speak to my capacity to take dominion. I will assume leadership roles in my life through my power to be decisive.

3. Today I will be diligently disciplined to be constructively competitive. I have an edge, an advantage – the will to win my own, personal race to the glory of God, as well as for my own satisfaction.

4. Today I will train my thoughts and tame my tongue — I will stay alert, being keenly aware of what is really happening in the world around me. I will strive to make positive changes in my words, actions and routines, especially in the areas in which I am influential to others.

5. Today I will hold myself to a high standard of achievement by the ongoing operation of an organized thought life. I will be willing to withdraw whatever ways are wasting my time by making me maintain a mode of mediocrity in my manner of living.

6. Today I will not settle for second-best in my standards, but will strive for ethical excellence, spiritual superiority, and moral maturity. I am energized for peek performance in the things of God – to maximize my potential in Him for the advancement of His Kingdom authority.

7. Today I will be aggressive in the acquisition of conditioning techniques for my spirit, soul, and body, accepting the responsibility of being an example and an inspiration to those with whom I come into contact. Today I will make my life count, and today I will live in the now!

Father, help me to stay in top condition today. In Jesus’ name, amen.

February 13: BE BLESSED!

“And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God.” (Deuteronomy 28:2)

1. Today I will live in the now! I will live in the now because I understand the power of the blessing of the Lord. Because I know that God is good, and that His mercy endures forever, I am not ignorant of the blessings available to me today. I will not be destroyed for a lack of knowledge!

2. Today I will do what I need to do to keep myself in the realm of blessing. I will not be lazy, but will maintain a standard of excellence by hard work and diligence. I will keep my heart with all diligence (Proverbs 4:23), because the hand of the diligent makes rich (10:4), and shall bear rule (12:24). I will remember that the soul of the diligent shall be made rich (13:4), and the thoughts and plans of the diligent lead to plenty (21:5); the diligent shall stand before kings (22:29)! Today the BLESSING OF THE LORD WILL MAKE ME RICH, and He will add no sorrow with it (Proverbs 10:22)! But, more importantly, I know that I AM BLESSED WITH EVERY SPIRITUAL BLESSING today in the heavenly places in Christ (Ephesians 1:3)!

3. Today I will not allow any bogus feeling of unworthiness to prevent me from receiving my blessings. I am the righteousness of God in Christ, and am blessed because of His grace.

4. Today I will not be satisfied with mediocrity. Because I am so blessed, I can expect the best of myself and strive for excellence in every area of my life. I will not give in to any fear of success, but will act and move like I am the head and not the tail.

5. Today I will not settle for only being blessed, but I will make the effort to be a blessing to those around me. I will be kind, thoughtful, encouraging, giving, generous, and helpful to others. I will salt the earth and light my part of the world today.

6. Today, because I obey the voice of the Lord my God, all these blessings shall come upon me and overtake me! I will be blessed in the city and in the country. The fruit of my body shall be blessed, and I will be blessed in the basket and in the store! I will be blessed when I come in and when I go out, and God will command His blessing on my storehouse, and on everything to which I set my hand!

7. Today will be a blessed day for me, and today I will live in the now!

Father, show me how to receive every blessing that You send today. In Jesus’ name, amen.
