March 27: PERCEIVING PURPOSE!

perceiving-purpose

Mortals make elaborate plans, but God has the last word.

(Proverb 16:1  – The Message)

1.       Today I will live in the now!  I will live in the now because I am tapped in to the reality of my synergistic relationship with God and to the awareness that He and I together are co-creating destiny.  “The plans of the mind and orderly thinking belong to man, but from the Lord comes the [wise] answer of the tongue” (Proverb 16:1 AMP).

2.       Today I will flow with God, recognizing the harmony of our natures, the unity of our purposes and the manifestation of our mutual creativity. “All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the spirits (the thoughts and intents of the heart)”  (v. 2).

3.       Today I will think with my spiritual, infinite mind, breaking free from an average attitude and a mediocre mentality in order to develop a divine dimension in my daily discipline.  “Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed” (v. 3).

4.       Today I will discern the purpose of the dark side, understanding the positive things that are being developed in my life through negative forces.  “The Lord has made everything [to accommodate itself and contribute] to its own end and HIS OWN PURPOSE—even the wicked [are fitted for their role] for the day of calamity and evil” (v. 4).

5.       Today I will meditate God’s Word to develop sensitivity to His Spirit’s leading, paving my path with the progressive presentation of His perfect plan!  “A man’s mind plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps and makes them sure” (v. 9).

6.       Today I will exercise my royal right to regulate my life through the revelation of my righteous decrees…my purpose is being revealed through the words of my mouth.  “Divinely directed decisions are on the lips of the king….” (v. 10).

7.    Today I will see the big picture of my purpose, by the Spirit, with my visionary eyes of faith.  “The lot is cast into the lap, but the decision is wholly of the Lord [even the events that seem accidental are really ordered by Him]” (v. 33).  I will remember all these things today, and today I will live in the now!

Father, help me to perceive the significance of what is really happening to me today.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

March 19: HIDDEN ROOMS!

 heart-door

The spirit of a man is the lamp of the Lord, searching all the inner depths* of his heart.  (Proverb 20:27)

 [*literally: “rooms of the belly”]

1.       Today I will live in the now!  I will live in the now because the events of this day will serve to reveal the treasure within me.  I am greater on the inside than I am on the outside, and my destiny is being discovered today through the process of practically prevailing over my personal problems, all things working together for good to identify the hidden rooms of my heart.

2.       Today I will be guided by the “lamp of the Lord” by being sensitive to the inward witness and by listening to the internal voice of His Word that is written on my heart—the Word that is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path.  I will use the tools of confirmation and agreement to my advantage and will find the flow where I can function fearlessly as I face forward in faith!

3.       Today I will be aware of those who speak to me on a level where “deep calls unto deep”—those who see my spirit and prophesy to my potential—and will hear what they say to me with spiritual ears, finding the discipline resident in me to be obedient to inspirational and insightful instruction.

4.       Today I will find the fruit of my future hidden in a room of the heart.  I will know that there is a bigger vision stored somewhere in my internal warehouse, and I will be relentless in my search for it knowing that, when the times comes to reveal it, I will have the faith to see it to its fruition.

5.       Today I will maintain contentment with the present but will find the motivation to move mountains in preparation for the miracles that are going to be mightily manifested in and through and for me!  Today is a great day, but tomorrow will be greater!

6.       Today I will believe that the rooms containing greatness really are in me; everything that I need to succeed is there now!  And I will not be discouraged when I find a room locked, but will search for the Kingdom Key that will release on the earth what is currently a reality in heaven, where I am already seated with Him in power!

7.       Today I will talk up my future and my purpose and my destiny.  Today I will be energized by all that I have to look forward to, and today I will live in the now!

Father, help me to discover the hidden rooms of my heart.  In Jesus’ name, amen.

February 17: LIVIN’ LARGE!

“I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a LARGE PLACE. The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me? . . . It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.”

(Psalms 118:5, 6, 8 – KJV)

1. Today I will live in the now! I will live in the now because I am free to be myself in God, with no need to try to be something or someone that I am not. No man can DEFINE MY PERSONALITY. “Don’t set people up as experts over your life, letting them tell you what to do. Save that authority for God; let Him tell you what to do. No one else should carry the title of ‘Father’; you have only one Father, and He’s in heaven” (Matthew 23:9, The Message).

2. Today I will live in a large place because no man can DETERMINE MY POTENTIAL! “It is God Himself who has made us what we are . . . ” (Ephesians 2:10, Living Bible).

3. Today I will live in a large place because no man can DETER MY PROGRESS! “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid” (Psalm 27:1)? “. . . If God is for me, who can be against me” (Romans 8:31)?

4. Today I will live in a large place because no man can DELAY MY PROMOTION! For promotion comes neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge; He puts down one, and sets up another (Psalm 75:6, 7).

5. Today I will live in a large place because no man can DECREASE MY PROSPERITY! “The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it” (Proverbs 10:22).

6. Today I will live in a large place because no man can DESTROY MY POSSIBILITIES! “. . . With men it is impossible, but with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26).

7. Today I will live in a large place because no man can DEFEAT MY PURPOSE! “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, who are the called according to His PURPOSE” (Romans 8:28). The only person who could stop me today is me – but, since I believe in myself, I will help myself have a true Kingdom day of progress and productivity in Christ. Today is a big day for me, and today I will live in the now!

Father, help me to live the Kingdom life, as You live big in me today. In Jesus’ name, amen.

February 7: NO FEAR!

For God has not given us a spirit of fear,

but of power and of love and of a sound mind.  (2 Timothy 1:7)

1.       Today I will live in the now!  I will live in the now because I am free from the paralysis of fear; in Him I live and MOVE and have my being.  In Christ I am a mover and a shaker…a Kingdom risk-taker!

2.       Today I will not be afraid to explore the vastness of the real world that lies beyond the limits of my comfort zone.  I will ignore my tendency to always do the safe and easy thing and will accept the challenges of living the faith life.  I will violently take the Kingdom by force in my own realm of influence today.

3.       Today I will look beyond my own insecurities and see all of the possibilities around me that are worth striving for.  I will not allow the fear of failure or rejection to prevent me from moving toward the fulfillment of my purpose, because I know that I will be all right, even if I fall or fail!

4.       Today I will not be afraid to voice my vision.  I will write it upon the tablet of my heart so that I can read it and run with it.  I am not intimidated by the potential of it which I see moving and growing and evolving into something much bigger than what it is right now.

5.       Today I am not afraid to do what I need to do to be productive.  Productivity is a choice—my choice.  My productivity will be magnetic today; it will draw success into my life and cause me to increase and multiply my own resources.

6.       Today I am not afraid to be myself…to be real…to express my needs to those who can appropriately fill them.  With Jesus as the Lord of my mind, I will not be afraid to think for myself…to be original and true to my own unique call and purpose.

7.       Today I will live a carefree lifestyle, far removed from fear.  I will not live the safe life…the sheltered life…the small life, but I will joyously break forth into a new world of freedom from intimidation and cowardice.  God will approve of me today as I please Him with my faith and as I do exploits for His Kingdom!  Today I am simply not afraid, and today I will live in the now!

Father, help me to live the fear-free life for Your glory today.  In Jesus’ name, amen.
