April 15: FIND FAVOR!

 confident-man

Let not mercy and truth forsake you; bind them around your neck,

write them on the tablet of your heart, and so find favor and high esteem

in the sight of God and man.

(Proverb 3:3, 4)

1.       Today I will live in the now!  I will live in the now because I expect to receive supernatural favor from God and man today.  My promotion in the now will come from the Lord (“For exaltation comes neither from the east nor from the west nor from the south.  But God is the Judge: He puts down one, and exalts another” – Psalm 75:6, 7), and I will conduct myself with the confidence that comes from the consciousness that He is in my corner!

2.       Today I will be competitive only with myself, striving for my own, personal best, without comparing myself to others.  I will be inspired by those who are successful—not intimidated by them—knowing that my success is unique to me and that I can do what no one else can do by being true to my own individuality.

3.       Today I will humble myself in the sight of the Lord, that He may lift me up (James 4:10), giving God the glory and my gratitude for His guidance and grace!  I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, and I am gaining more strength as I honor Him and give Him the credit due Him.

4.       Today I will let the Lord prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies, knowing that He will anoint me with the oil of joy above my contemporaries.  He will vindicate me and set me in a large place as I trust Him.  My latter will be greater than my former!

5.       Today I will recognize the flow that comes from godly favor.  I will only go where I am celebrated—not where I am tolerated.  My gift will make room for me today and will bring me before great men (Proverb 18:16).

6.       Today I will accept affirmation (valid compliments) from authentic admirers without argument.  I will receive gifts, knowing that I have given to others.  I will embrace promotion, and the added responsibility that it brings me, without any fear.  I will renounce any bogus feelings of unworthiness, knowing that He has made me worthy and righteous and acceptable in His sight!

7.       Today I will walk in the boldness that comes from having God’s favor on my life.  I will expect good things to happen to me today, because the Lord is good and His mercy endures forever.  Today I know that I have an edge, and today I will live in then now!

Father, I thank You that I find favor for my life today.  In Jesus’ name, amen.

February 23: PRAY TODAY!

open-door

“Pray without ceasing.” (1 Thessalonians 5:17)

1.  Today I will live in the now! I will live in the now because I have the ability to pray myself into the present (Mark 11:24). I believe I receive WHEN I PRAY, right where I am – in the now!

2. Today I will pray for those in authority, that I may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence (dignity) today (1 Timothy 2:2, 3). I will pray for my country and its leaders, believing that the heart of the king is in the hand of the Lord. I will pray for those in authority in the Body of Christ, particularly those who have influence over my life and destiny. I will pray for my local church to become everything that it is supposed to become, as an embassy of Christ to this planet.

3. Today I will remember that “the field is the world,” so I will pray for the world around me and that the Lord of the Harvest would send laborers into that field to bring it into the Kingdom of God for His glory. I will loose on earth what is loosed in heaven, praying for the “restoration of all things” so that Jesus will no longer be held captive there (Acts 3:21).

4. Today I will pray for my community – that His will would be done there, on earth, as it is in heaven. I will not just pray it, but I will LIVE my prayer by doing what only I can do to make my world a better place in which to live. I will let myself actually BECOME this prayer, and in so doing, will salt the earth, and light the world!

5. Today I will pray for the significant people in my life – the ones I love and live with, that they would become who God wants them to be – not what I want them to be. His will for their life will be my will for their life, with no strings attached, and no hidden agenda. My prayer will be mature, rather than manipulative – liberating instead of legislative. The government is on Jesus’ shoulder!

6. Today I will pray for my enemies, and in so doing will free myself from their power to affect me negatively. The love of God poured out in my heart will cause me to conquer in this capacity.

7. Today I will pray about my problems (“Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray . . . ” – James 5:13), instead of worrying about them. My prayers will be effective today, and today I will live in the now!

“Do not fret or have anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.” Philippians 4:6 – AMP)

Father, I thank You that you always hear me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
